History

The Company foundation preparations started in 1992 and so WIP started its activity on the 15th June 1993. At the beginning of its presence in the market a main speciality was production of PET blow-moulding machines. In time, WIP focused on the production of PET bottles. Since 1994 WIP produces PET preforms as well.

Development dynamics

The Company is located in the town of Aleksandrów Kujawski. Purchased grounds and buildings have been transformed into a machine park consisting 11 production lines.

Back in 1994 the company’s production capacity was at the level of 1,5mln preforms per month. The first purchased machine was a 16-cavity injection machine capable of producing 42-gramm performs. After mounting another two Cincinatti machines in 1995, the production capabilities have risen up to 4mln per month. During that time some works aiming to upgrade the PET bottles blowing machines were in progress. In the next decade the production capacity has risen from 10 to 25mln pcs. per month. Some new BMB-type machines were also introduced.

Joining the EU helped develop the conditions for the majority of Polish businessmen. It was also a time of growth for WIP. Since 2004 the production capacities have risen several times. During that period, the company has purchased 4 new PETLINE Swiss production lines made by NETSTAL. In the beginning of 2008, The production capacity was above the level of 90mln pcs. per month making WIP a leader in PET production in Poland. Production growth as well as implemented innovative technical solutions became the driving wheel of WIP success. WIP is now offering highest quality technical and economical solutions that can be fully optimized for market needs.

Future Forecast

WIP is now one of the leading PET manufacturers in Poland. Development plans involve further widening the consumers group also in the international market.
